Национальный парк Пурнулулу
Объект всемирного наследия ЮНЕСКО (Австралия)
Парк Пурнулулу, площадью 239,7 тыс. га, располагается на севере штата Западная Австралия, в районе сильно расчлененного хребта Бангл-Бангл, образованного песчаником девонского возраста. За последние 20 млн. лет этот песчаниковый массив под воздействием сил эрозии приобрел вид причудливых конических останцев, островных элементов рельефа. На крутых бортах четко видны темные горизонтальные слои – результат жизнедеятельности цианобактерий. Этот ярчайший пример конического карста возник благодаря редкостному сочетанию геологических, биологических и климатических факторов.

This is amazing place .feels like we are walk on the other planet .the rock formations have so many different coulous and Sharp .you need good reasonable levels of the physical fitness.and all the pathways very well mapped .this is must do place .I considering very privilege to be in this part of the world???

The Kimberleys is such a wonderful place, and the Bungle Bungle should be on the top of the list for anyone visiting. The highlight would be Cathedral gorge, but the whole place is so beautiful

What a spectacular piece of the world! Allow a couple of days to properly see this place. Nice camp sites. Late in the dry season there's no water anywhere - go for your walks in the morning before it gets too hot and hide out under shade somewhere during the heat of the day. Then go to one of the lookouts to enjoy the sunset. Helicopter scenic flights run from the small airstrip in the south of the park, and come highly recommended.

It was great. The road is tough if you aren't too comfortable with Kimberly sort tracks, but a lot of fun if you are. Take a lot of water, the heat is a bit relentless, but worth the effort
