These historical replicas are amazingly well kept and it was like going back in time to witness how The Vikings lived. I really felt like these explorers had a cozy place to rest temporarily while they travelled the ocean tides to find a new world. Use your imagination while listening and watching the demonstrations unfold. Actors give you a glimpse of the past surrounding you with an unforgettable experience of moments you will cherish forever. A must see.

Rewelacyjnie odtworzone warunki życia. Obsługa przebrana za wikingów pokazuje jak się wtedy żyło. Polecam

I visited here years ago. I enjoyed touring the site. There was a very nice restaurant a few miles away. I has both cloudberry and redberry pies there and the waitress was very nice. I visited this site for historic research.

As a Canadian it's amazing to see the first european settlement spot in the americas. It makes me think back to the times of the vikings, and what would have happened if they knew just how big the world they discovered was. The staff were great and helpful. definitely a place for people who are into history!

Simply awesome! This UNESCO World Heritage Site is small and there isn't a whole lot to see, but it's a once in a lifetime pilgrimage for history buffs who are familiar with the Vinland Sagas. If you are not a history buff, the importance of this place may be lost to you, but you probably won't make it out here anyways. (You won't get here by accident!) There is a nice visitors center with some displays, a statue, some sod mounds where the original Viking buildings were and a replica of what they believe the buildings actually looked like. You can pretty much see the whole place in a couple hours, but it will be couples hours you won't forget.
