Well maintained domestic airport in nepal. Staffs are helpful, toilets are clean. Wifi here is free provided by worldlink. For now here only buddha airlines carry the passengers but shree airlines is also going to add its service...

Simara airport is just 400 m inside from main highway... The airport serves the Buddha air plane service for Kathmandu to simara or simara to Kathmandu Great service, fast and cheap but sometimes plane can be delayed but in rear case....

Simara Airport (सिमरा विमानस्थलण) is situated at Jitpur Simara Sub Municipality of Bara District, Province No. 2. It is the most strategic domestic airport of the Country for two reasons. One, it is the nearest airport only 39 miles far from Kathmandu; Raxaul, an Indian city is only 20 kilometers away from the airport. Furthermore, the importance of this airport is due to its location near to Birgunj which is a commercial and industrial town linking Raxaul as well. And secondly, this airport can be purposefully used in case of natural calamities and disasters when ground transport is not accessible. This airport lies in the path of international flight operation.
