The Konstantin palace and park ensemble opened a new page of its life in the XXI century when it received a new status of a State residence within the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation. State Complex “The National Congress Palace” was created in 2001 under the decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The complex opened its doors in 2003, the year of 300 anniversary of St. Petersburg as a unique part of the Northern capital.
We are always ready to host the guests of a highest level because here the meetings of the world’s leaders and the biggest international conferences regularly take place. The unique complex has ample opportunities for holding various events. History
The grand residence in Strelna was founded by Peter the Great.
The construction of the ensemble began with the laying of the Lower regular park in 1715. And 5 years later, in 1720, architect Nicola Michetti started the construction of a big stone palace. However the ensemble wasn’t finished until the end of the XVIII century. In the XIX century almost neglected imperial residence became the country estate of grand dukes of the House of Romanovs. After the revolution here the school was placed; and in 1950s the palace, which sustained a great damage during the occupation of Strelna by the fascists, was reconstructed into Leningrad arctic college.
In the beginning of the new century Konstantinovsky palace and park ensemble found a new high mission by getting a status of the State Complex “The National Congress Palace”. The restoration works under the authority of the Administrative department of the President of the Russian Federation were finished in 2003 for the 300 anniversary of St. Petersburg. The revived Konstantin palace combined the functions of a State residence and a modern business, museum, cultural and exhibition centre.

Парадная приморская резиденция в Стрельне, превосходящая по красоте знаменитый французский Версаль, была задумана еще Петром I. Но его планы не были осуществлены — загородной резиденцией императоров стал Петергоф. Стрельна же продолжительное время являлась великокняжеской резиденцией Романовых, а много позже, в советское время дворцовый ансамбль был национализирован. В разное время в Константиновском дворце размещались школа-колония, курсы усовершенствования политсостава Балтийского флота, Ленинградское Арктическое училище. К началу XXI века комплекс представлял собой печальное зрелище. Ситуация изменилась в 2003 году. Именно в это время постройки дворцового ансамбля были полностью восстановлены, а сам он приобрел новое назначение и название — «Дворец конгрессов». Сейчас здесь расположена резиденция президента РФ в Санкт-Петербурге, проводятся различные государственные мероприятия и встречи на высшем уровне.
Очень красивое место, обязательно стоит посетить. Но чтобы получить удовольствие от поездки, нужно заранее спланировать программу. Посещение только с экскурсией. Бронировать билеты нужно заранее на сайте, в кассах билеты очень редко в наличии. Билеты на экскурсию по парку на сайте купить нельзя, но можно заказать заранее индивидуальную экскурсию. Если вас 5 и больше, то получается даже выгодней. Есть камера хранения в билетном центре. Стоит взять с собой еду. Есть "кафе" в котором несколько столиков и автоматов с закусками и напитками. Мы там удобно расположились и поели между экскурсиями.
Очень хорошая парковка. Людей мало. Посмотреть дворец и парк можно только в рамках экскурсии. Парк и дворец-разные экскурсии. Обязательно нужно взять что-нибудь перекусить. Есть кафе с ценами ресторана, но долго придется ждать, и можете не успеть к началу экскурсии. А в помещении экскурсионного бюро есть только кофе и снэки автоматы. Туалет есть в помещении экскурсионного бюро. За фото и видео сьемки надо будет доплатить 100 руб.
Величие и мощь !!! Режимный объект, т.к. является резиденцией правительства ( президента) . Вход небольшими группами через КПП с органами. В течении экскурсии всех постоянно пересчитывают и не выпускают из вида. Фотографировать разрешают. Экскурсоводы просто умнички. Экскурсия длилась практически 1.5 часа, протопали порядка 4.5 км. Одной экскурсии не достаточно. Тематических экскурсий порядка 4 видов . Надо побывать хотя бы по одному разу на каждой . За один день это не реально . Не хватит ног.
Были в дворце в рамках экскурсии и дегустации вина. Интересное место. Резиденция Президента на время его пребывания в СПб. Особенно впечатлила переговорная комната для двусторонних переговоров. Так же очень понравилась дегустация вина. Хорошие виды парка. Интересно почему погулять.
